Release lever is made of alloy metal, is black in color, Release lever will fit “most” not all AR-15 style mil-spec lowers  and mil-spec AR pistol lowers. Comes with Allen wrenches for install. This item can be slightlymanipulated to align lever to get the permit fit for each user, simply but protecting coating, placing in a vise and using a crescent wrench to make minor adjustments including angle, and height under the magazine release. Please remember “Slight” adjustments. Please determine before you make any adjustments whether or not this will work in your application, this item cannot be returned if it has been installed or manipulated. If the lever is loose fitting I place a small piece of 30 lb double sticky tape between the inside of the lever to be attached  and the face of the release lever on the lower to take up the space. There are shims for this, but they just don’t stay in place or work as well as the tape does.
